Brazil |
Brazil has potential to establish one of the most rapidly developing space programs in the world. Excalibur Almaz’s space program developed from proven, flight-tested spacecraft can add further momentum to Brazil’s and the Agência Espacial Brasileira (AEB) ascendency. The AEB’s interest in space research and science as well as its development of launch capabilities and launch sites align with Excalibur Almaz’s strategic vision to be the world leader in providing space transportation services. Excalibur Almaz’s science and microgravity research opportunities can also benefit Brazil’s national educational initiatives. With cargo missions launching as early as 2014 and crewed missions launching as early as 2015, a partnership between Brazil and Excalibur Almaz would greatly accelerate achievement of the goals of both parties. Since its formation in 2005, Excalibur has been working towards completion of our human space transportation program for science, sovereign nations and tourist. Our main partners include NPOM, United Space Alliance (USA), EADS Space Transportation (Astrium) and NASA on their Commercial Cargo & Crew Program through a Space Act Agreement (SAA). Excalibur Almaz owns four Reusable Reentry Vehicles (RRVs) and two space stations purchased from NPO Mashinostroyenia (NPOM) of Russia. The RRVs have been to orbit and reentered the earth’s atmosphere nine times. The designer has stated the RRVs can be reused at least 15 times. The use of flight-tested spacecraft and hardware provides a very cost effective and time saving approach to the space transportation business. |
