India’s Vision 2025 goals for science & technology development as well as human spaceflight and planetary exploration are priorities that can be addressed by Excalibur Almaz’s turn-key space transportation services. Excalibur Almaz can offer the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) proven designs and flight tested spacecraft that serve both passenger and cargo transportation needs for science, planetary exploration and human spaceflight missions to Low Earth Orbit, the moon, L2 and beyond. By using Excalibur Almaz’s existing hardware combined with ISRO expertise, resources and the availability of a suitable launch vehicle, mission services can begin as early as 2014 for cargo missions and 2015 for human spaceflight missions. A partnership effort between Excalibur Almaz and ISRO could produce a complete, operational space system earlier than any other national space program. Since its formation in 2005, Excalibur has been working towards completion of our human space transportation program for science, sovereign nations and tourist. Our main partners include NPOM, United Space Alliance (USA), EADS Space Transportation (Astrium) and NASA on their Commercial Cargo & Crew Program through a Space Act Agreement (SAA). Excalibur Almaz owns four Reusable Reentry Vehicles (RRVs) and two space stations purchased from NPO Mashinostroyenia (NPOM) of Russia. The RRVs have been to orbit and reentered the earth’s atmosphere nine times. The designer has stated the RRVs can be reused at least 15 times. The use of flight-tested spacecraft and hardware provides a very cost effective and time saving approach to the space transportation business. |
